Web3 Close

For accounting practices whose clients settle invoices in stablecoins

A reconciliation pack for stablecoin settlement, with every match linked to its source

Web3 Close is a planned workbench for accounting practices. It would reconcile stablecoin settlement from exported files, with every match linked to its source rows and every exception listed, and produce a close pack that the practice's own accountant approves.

Tell us about your last close

Please leave out client names and client files. Mail to this address goes to the project inbox and is read there. A reply may be written with the help of software.

Where it stands

  • Nothing is built. There is no software to try.
  • No accounting practice has been asked about this.
  • From public pages read on 11 October 2026: tools that post draft journals from wallet activity are on sale. We found no page describing a close view across a practice's clients, or an approved pack that a changed source invalidates. That is a gap in the pages we read, not proof that anyone wants it.
  • No qualified accounting partner is named. No real client file will be accepted before there is one, with a contract and secure storage.
  • Nothing is for sale. No customers.

How a close would work

Exported files in
It would work from CSV files in formats agreed beforehand, for one close period. It would not ask for wallet keys, bank logins or other financial credentials.
Matches you can trace
Each match would be made by a stated rule and link to the rows it came from.
Exceptions in the open
Rows that do not match would be listed as exceptions. None would be hidden and none forced into a match.
The accountant approves
The pack would be exported only after the practice's accountant approves it. If a source file changed, that approval would no longer stand.

What it deliberately does not do

It would not trade, hold funds, make payments or manage investments. It would post nothing to a ledger automatically and certify nothing for audit.

It would use no exchange rate that is not in the source files. The accounting treatment belongs to the accountant.

Nothing on this page is accounting or tax advice.

What we want to learn first

Tools that turn wallet activity into draft journals for accounting software are already sold to accountants. We want to know what a practice still does by hand after that, across several clients, when the month closes.
